Its long majestic beach is by now a legend throughout the world. We provide a daily shuttle bus service from Is Morus to this corner of paradise a few miles from the relais. Is Morus also organises schooner tours to reveal the magic beauty of places such as the beach of Tuerredda, with relaxation and good food guaranteed aboard.
IS CANNONERIS
A nature park just a few miles from the Relais, in the territory of Domus de Maria. On request, we can organise tours to this unspoilt forest environment home to wildlife such as the Sardinian deer, wild boar and other Mediterranean species.
CAGLIARI
Cagliari lies just 50 km from the Relais. The city has a long history, with the earliest settlements dating back to the New Stone Age. Founded between 6000 – 3000 BC, it was transformed into a true city by the Phoenicians and the Carthaginians.
Its long history, multiple dominations and external influences are reflected in the city’s many cultural and architectural attractions.
Its earliest history is witnessed by the Punic necropolis of Tuvixeddu, and by the ruins of the Roman Amphitheatre, built in the II century AD. The medieval heart of the city is the fortified Castello quarter, which up to World War II was the residence of the patrician families. Other fascinating historic quarters include Stampace, once inhabited by the middle class and by merchants, Marina, home to seamen and fishermen, and Villanova, which used to be the quarter of shepherds and farmers. A fascinating city well worth discovering.
